Gorbett, leader of Microsoft Bizspark’s Central Region, sits for Dear World at Chicago Ideas Week.

I had the opportunity to photograph incredible people at Chicago Ideas Week. From Mayor Emmanuel to Doug Ullman of the Livestrong Foundation, I’ll be posting Dear World portraits throughout the week. I’m starting with Brian Gorbett from Microsoft BizSpark, a program that helps tech startups ups by “giving them access to Microsoft software development tools, connecting them with key industry players, including investors, and providing marketing visibility to help entrepreneurs starting a business.”

I usually get a few minutes with each of them to talk about the project and then we keep in touch via email. But Brian and I ended up having lunch together with Wayne Kimmel from Artists & Instigators two days after the portrait.
